Patch: Yorktown Trader Joe’s Announces Time Frame For Opening
YORKTOWN, NY — The new Trader Joe’s located in the Yorktown Heights shopping center where Lowe’s Home Improvement is will likely open its doors in the summer.
Breslin Realty, which arranged and negotiated the popular store’s long-term lease, made the announcement Wednesday in a news release.
The newly built 12,500-square-foot, freestanding store sits on Route 202 at the northwest intersection of the Taconic State Parkway at Exit 17A.
Lowe’s opened its doors in April 2019. Other retail businesses in the shopping center include Starbucks, AAA and Slice Pizza.
Breslin said there is a build-to-suit pad site available to lease at the shopping center: up to 2,900 square feet with a drive-thru.
On its website, Trader Joe’s said the new store, whose address is 3220 Old Crompond Rd. in Yorktown, is “Coming Soon!” but offered no other information besides alcohol not being sold at the location.
Other Trader Joe’s stores in Westchester County are in Hartsdale, Larchmont and Scarsdale. New Yorkers in Putnam and Dutchess counties also frequent the Trader Joe’s in Danbury, Connecticut.
