Patch: F45 Gym Coming To Sayville Plaza In Bohemia

The franchise training center with functional group training classes is the latest of several new tenants in the shopping center.

BOHEMIA, NY — Sayville Plaza in Bohemia continues to obtain new tenants after Kmart’s closure in early 2020 left the shopping center partially empty. Breslin Realty announced this week that Australian-based gym franchise F45 Training has signed a long-term deal to open in the Sunrise Highway shopping center.

F45 will take over 3,100 square feet at 5191 Sunrise Highway, according to a statement from Breslin Realty.

The fitness company was launched in 2012, and has been rapidly expanding internationally since then. The training centers offer group fitness training, with functional and circuit-style equipment. There are now 1,750 studios in 45 countries.

There are several F45 gyms on Long Island, including in East Northport and Lake Grove, and two locations are due to open in Massapequa and Hauppauge.

Large retailers Floor & Decor and At Home announced they would take over the former Kmart space in Sayville Plaza last year.

There is still 38,000 square feet of retail space available for lease at the plaza, Breslin representatives said.
