LIBN: Webster Bank to open new branch in Port Jefferson Station

Webster Bank will be opening a new branch in Port Jefferson Station.

The company leased a 4,000-square-foot building on 1.34 acres at 532 Old Town Road. The property was formerly occupied by a Capital One bank branch.

The new Webster Bank branch is expected to open early next year.

Publicly traded Webster Financial Corporation, the holding company for Stamford, Conn.-based Webster Bank, recently celebrated its 90th anniversary. Founded in 1935, Webster Bank now has nearly 200 locations throughout the Northeast and over $80 billion in assets, according to the company.

Michael Aievoli of JLL represented Webster Bank, while Robert Delavale served as in-house representative for the landlord, Breslin Organization, in the Port Jefferson Station lease transaction.
