Patch: Long Island Bagel Cafe Opens In Franklin Square

FRANKLIN SQUARE, NY. — Franklin Square patrons will have the opportunity to turn their dough into bread this week, thanks to the newly opened Long Island Bagel Cafe location at Franklin Plaza shopping center.

The location’s opening was announced Wednesday morning by Breslin Realty, who said that the 2,700 square-foot store would be housed in a renovated Franklin Plaza shopping center, located at 178 New Hyde Park Rd. in Franklin Square.

The realtors announced that the bagel shop would be joined by a pediatric dentist’s office and a D1 Training location in the future, joining existing retail options in the shopping center that include Baskin Robbins, Greek Xpress, Holiday Farms Supermarket, Insight Hair Salon, Ivy Rehab Physical Therapy, Memory Nails, New Generation Karate and Olivetto Pizza & Restaurant.

“Long Island Bagel Café offers high quality and authentic old-fashioned New York bagels that are rolled, boiled, and baked on-site daily,” the real estate agency said. “Their menu also includes an abundance of breakfast sandwiches, cream cheeses & spreads, salads, wraps, sandwiches, paninis, coffee and more.”

It’s the 10th location for the Long Island-based chain, with brick and mortar locations in Nassau, Suffolk and Westchester Counties, as well as an already open store in Boca Raton, FL, and a planned location in Parkland, FL.
