NYREJ: Orwasher named chief development officer at Breslin
Garden City, NY According to Wilbur Breslin, CEO of Breslin Realty Development Corp., David Orwasher has re-joined Breslin as its new chief development officer.
Early in his career Orwasher first served as associate counsel and director of leasing and brokerage at Breslin. Over the last 20 years, Orwasher has been developing properties and growing consumer facing brands for national and regional companies in a range of senior management capacities. Notably, his experience includes taking 2 companies public; Cosi & The Joint…the chiropractic place, where he served as chief development office and chief operating officer and president, respectively, as well as having served as VP of development & asset management for Starbucks Coffee.
While at Starbucks, Orwasher helped lead the introduction of Starbucks across the Eastern U.S. during its formative growth period and opened over 1000 stores in 17 new markets, including NYC. Orwasher has additionally served as EVP of Medifast.
He is a licensed attorney admitted in the states of New York and Connecticut, holds his JD from Pace University and his BA from Vassar College.
